Where Can I Find Some
Cheap Kettlebells
Without Sacrificing On Quality?

One question that I have been asked lately was regarding where to find cheap kettlebells. Kettlebells are a very effective whole body workout that lends itself as being an ideal workout for self defense conditioning.

The question basically goes like this ......

Question

"I live in a small town and none of the stores sell kettlebells. There are some small 10 lb kettlebells at Walmart. Since shipping something as heavy as a kettlebell is so expensive where can I find some good quality but cheaply priced kettlebells?"

Answer

Good question!

My first reaction when somebody asks me about where to find cheap kettlebells is to remind them off the old adage "Buyer Beware!"

Some of the problems that plague cheap kettlebells is their quality.

This isn't to say that you can't find a good quality kettlebell at a reasonable or even a cheap price!

The quality issues that are inherent with "cheap kettlebells" are things like the handles being poorly designed.

Sometimes the handles are too squatty or short resulting in making it more difficult to rotate your hand at the top of a press which results in you banging up your wrists pretty bad.

The resulting bruises end up deterring you from training on a regular schedule.

A quality handle is another big issue.

If you get a handle that is too narrow or too wide, you end up stressing your hands and some techniques are more difficult to control and master.

With any kettlebell workout proper technique is always paramount.

Some of the cheap kettlebells I looked at had handles that were either too narrow, too polished or too rough.

If the handle is too polished or has a high gloss finish then you will be disatisfied because they get slippery when your hands get sweaty. Even with weight lifting gloves on they will slip a bit.

My honest opinion is too stay away from gimmicks such as an all in one adjustable kettlebell or the extra wide handle types.

Your purchase in a kettlebell is going to be an investment. Chances are you will keep it for a very, very long time and if you decide to get rid of it you can probably recoup your actual cost of the kettlebell by selling it second hand. In the end you might just be out the shipping costs.

I personally only own two brands of kettlebells.

One is from a local fitness equipment store and the other I bought from Lifeline USA

The actual cost for me after shipping and duties at the border on the Lifeline USA one actually worked out to be a whopping ten dollars cheaper than the one I bought locally!

The difference in quality is very clear between the two!

The feel of the Lifeline USA kettlebell is awesome. Once I pick it up for some reason I just don't want to put it down.

I think kettlebells in general are somewhat addictive!

The finish of the Lifeline kettlebell is perfect, whereas the locally bought one is a bit rough.

I prefer the grip and the handle on my Lifeline kettlebell.

The Lifeline kettlebell is made in the USA, which even though I do not live in the USA is good because I feel as though I am supporting the North American economy.

My cheap kettlebell from the local fitness store is a classic made in China brand.

I will probably end up continuing to purchase any future kettlebells from Lifeline USA for a number of reasons.

I like the thicker grip, the balance and the feel of their kettlebells.

The online ordering was easy and shipping was decent with FedEx Ground.

I researched the pros and cons of the other common kettlebell suppliers and settled on Lifeline because the only thing "cheap" about this cheap kettlebell was it's price!

The 35lb kettlebell that I ordered from Lifeline USA was $20.00 cheaper than it's main Russian Kettlebell competitor.

That was a savings of $20.00 on just one kettlebell!

It may not be the absolute cheapest but it is the best quality cheap kettlebell out there.

In addition to being a Lifeline customer, I fully endorse and recommend their kettlebells and other products.
